Treatment would depend on severity of tooth decay. Early tooth decays may be able to reverse by prescription of fluoride treatments. If a hole (cavity) is present, filling may be required. If tooth decay has extended into the soft tissue (pulp) in the middle of the tooth, root canal treatment may be required.
