Preparation before going for a hysteroscopy

There is no need to abstain from water and food because the diagnostic test equipment has a smaller camera diameter than the equipment used in surgery. The duration of hysteroscopy does not take long. About 10-30 minutes
- In case it is necessary to perform surgery for pathology in the uterine cavity. Patients need to abstain from water and food for at least 6 hours before the procedure to administer intravenous anesthesia. The duration of the laparoscopy depends on the difficulty, such as the size of the tumor. Generally, the procedure usually lasts no more than 1 hour.
Self-care after hysteroscopy
- After the procedure, there may be a slight vaginal bleeding. About 5-7 days
- There may be pain in the uterine area, which can be taken with pain medications such as paracetamol.
