What is fatty liver?

Fatty liver disease (steatosis) is when there is too much fat build up in liver. Normal healthy liver have fat in little portion however fatty liver disease get worse over time passing three stages:

  • Inflamed liver, damaging its tissue
  • Scar tissue form where the liver is damaged
  • Scar tissue replaces the healthy tissue
