Your doctor will determine if you are a candidate for laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy or robotic hysterectomy. General steps of the procedures are as followed:

• Incision is made inside your vagina
• Uterine blood vessels are clamped and uterus is separated from connective tissue, ovaries, and fallopian tubes
• Uterus is then removed through vaginal opening and absorbable stitches are used inside the pelvis
