Treatment usually involves surgery and antibiotics treatment.

• Open surgery: For cases of ruptured appendix, infection spread, and abscess is present, your surgeon will need to clean the abdominal cavity and may need to place a tube to drain abscess and prescribe antibiotics to control infection before removing appendix later

• Laparoscopic surgery: Lesser invasive version of surgery with small incision. Good for cases without complications needing open surgery.
